Grace Community Church focuses on helping individuals experience a life changing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We are a charismatic, evangelical, non-denominational congregation that is part of the Grace Network (www.gracenetwork.org) of churches which are located throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia.

What to expect during Sunday Worship:

We have an upbeat, contemporary worship time including a variety of praise and worship songs as well as traditional hymns. Sermons are aimed toward drawing practical life applications from Scripture. Between our singing and the sermon the service varies from week to week. We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. One the third Sunday we will highlight a ministry of the Church or have a testimony. On the other Sundays we will have a children’s story. Typical dress for men and women is casual.  We seek to be welcoming to anyone that God sends through our door, regardless of dress, gender, or ethnicity.  We do have a nursery available for children up to kindergarten during the Sermon. We break bread together after church with a covered dish on the second Sunday of every month.

We believe:

All Scripture is inspired by God and inerrant in its original writings

2 TIM 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to guide us to live a productive Christian life, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

That God is one indivisible essence that is manifested in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

DT 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

MT 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

God has revealed Himself to mankind

ROM 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

All men have sinned

1JN 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Man is incapable of saving himself, salvation only comes by grace

RO 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

EPH 2:4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose from the grave fully alive.

MT 28:5
The angel spoke to the women: “There is nothing to fear here. I know you’re looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. 6He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed. 7“Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He is risen from the dead. He is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.’ That’s the message.”

1CO 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

That God designed and created the material world by His own hand, and created all things on the earth (Col. 1:16) according to His specific purpose and plan.

COL 1:6 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

That God is living and active today.

JOB 19:25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.

1TIM 1:17 Glory and honor to God forever and ever. He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God.

That the church of God is now endowed with the Holy Spirit, and that each member needs to be filled with the Holy Spirit for empowerment, and for the exercise of Spiritual gifts.

1CO 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
